As one of the most prominent social care providers in the Cologne region of Germany, Diakonie Michaelshoven embarked on an ambitious digital transformation programme to modernise its entire HR and administrative operations. The organisation sought to create an integrated, end-to-end digital solution spanning the complete employee journey, from initial recruitment through contract management to payroll administration while ensuring full regulatory compliance and exceptional user experience.

Role of Zalaris

Zalaris served as the primary implementation partner, leading the deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and orchestrating a comprehensive migration from the legacy LOGA payroll system to SAP HCM Payroll (H4S4). The project successfully integrated existing SuccessFactors Recruiting and Learning modules, ensuring continuity of established workflows.  

Working in collaboration with Accenture, the initiative expanded to include sophisticated digital contract generation capabilities and full integration of the Zalaris eFile solution, delivering a contemporary employee experience that meets modern expectations for digital workplace tools.  

The organisation implemented a robust change management strategy to support the adoption of the complete SAP HCM suite. Modern employee and manager self-service capabilities replaced manual administrative processes, delivering significant automation improvements across the HR function.
