Conclusion
If you read anything about this release, you’ll have seen a lot of information about talent management & development, centred around the aim of “Building Your Future-Ready Workforce”. Whether it be the Talent Intelligence Hub (as the foundation of talent data), Dynamic Teams for connecting people in the teams they work in, or Opportunity Marketplace to enable employees to see how they can develop by connecting them to opportunities. I expect we’ll hear more and more about these areas over the coming releases.
Currently, no technology post would be complete without mentioning AI, so I was intrigued by SAP’s recent news article about their expanding relationship with Microsoft. For SuccessFactors customers this promises new experiences in Recruiting and Learning. In Recruiting, Microsoft’s AI tools will help you build job descriptions and prompt questions for interviewers based on the job description and the candidate’s CV. In Learning, the integration with Viva Learning will be extended to enable employees to use natural language queries to create personalised learning recommendations that align with the employee’s career and development goals.
At Zalaris, the core of our business is Payroll, and the question we often get asked when discussing HR transformation is, “What about Payroll?”. The answer isn’t always obvious, nor the solution easy to reach, as local payroll solutions (big and small) vary in organisations due to size, geography or because of acquisition(s). In this release, SAP have gone one step further than previous releases where Employee Central core HR data could be replicated to different SAP payroll systems by country. Now, in this release, you can replicate HR data to payroll at the legal entity level. More flexibility is good news for customers with complicated payroll landscapes (whatever the reason), enabling them to adopt more cloud payroll over time at a pace that works for their business.
