So welcome to the Zalaris series on the SAP SuccessFactors Q3 2019 release; over the coming week we’ll be publishing articles covering the full SAP SuccessFactors Cloud HCM suite of applications.
Thanks to all of you who have been reading, sharing and providing feedback on our content. If you missed our previous quarter’s blogs, you can find them on zalaris.com. As before, you’ll see a set of blog posts on our website linking to multiple articles; one for each functional area. If you are a customer or have joined our mailing list, then you’ll receive a consolidated eBook of all the articles shortly after the end of our series.
This release contains ~200 changes which is average; however, it is noticeable that around three-quarters of them are Universal updates – worth knowing about but requiring no action from you to benefit from. That leaves around 50 updates that require some action to take advantage of. There are many changes in Platform and Recruiting. With 1 release to go, 2019 has already seen more changes in Employee Profile and Platform than during 2018. There is no release update for SAP Jam, while for Learning there are only some Universal updates and an update on the Learning Admin move from Flash in this Q3 release.
A significant change that will be working its way across the platform is the introduction of Assignment ID in Q3 (SAP Help), a new unique identifier called Assignment ID to Employee Central. I’m sure we’ll hear more about this in releases to come. In Recruiting, read how the new Agency Portal will improve agency recruitment or how you can use custom Google tags in Career Site Builder. I also notice, following on from my Q2 intro comment, that CPIAS is now available as an upgrade to existing customers via the Upgrade Center.
These highlights, and many more, will be covered in our series of articles; I hope you enjoy our updates. As always feedback is welcomed via email or Twitter.
Preview instances of SuccessFactors were updated on 9th August 2019, and the production instances are being updated on 6th September 2019.
