The team work hard to produce the articles and associated blogs so hopefully they have, once again, managed to bring you the content in an easy to consume format whilst adding their own observations and insights.
As I said in my introduction blog post, this release contains a lot of Universal updates. There are improvements in Core HR to improve flexibility and control as well as new enhancements in Time management; both within SAP SuccessFactors and via the SAP Time Management by Kronos solution extension which now includes Analytics (with alerts) and Optimized Scheduling (utilising machine learning).
If you are a regular reader, you’ll know I have a soft spot for Recruiting (it was my first SuccessFactors certification!) and once again this area has a host of updates including, I’m glad to see, the rollout of the redesigned Agency Portal.
Finally, there is recognition of SAP’s information security controls for cloud services with the news that the ISO 27017 certification was been awarded earlier this year.
I’m starting to see customers become more aware of the need to invest on a regular basis in their SuccessFactors solutions – maybe not every quarter but at least once or twice a year. There is a wide range of information out there to help you do this (not least our articles, of course) and often this information is available freely (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors Community), if you have the time and desire to utilise it. If you don’t, then there are services out there to help you too. After the investment in SuccessFactors (to purchase and deploy), it is worth the relatively low amounts it costs to invest in periodically improving your processes to enable you to take advantage of the new technology that SAP SuccessFactors provides.
