Zalaris India partnered with World Vision India to launch ‘Team Zalaris Cares’, a fund-raising initiative to provide emergency relief to families affected by the flash floods in the state of Kerala, India. Declared as the ‘worst floods in 100 years’, the monsoonal deluge caused flooding and unleashed havoc in about 11 of the 14 districts, with the entire state put on red alert.
Zalaris with its commitment of valuing people, partnered with the India team of World Vision, a global relief and development agency, and through our coordinated efforts, we were able to raise INR 343,142. Handing over the cheque to World Vision on the eve of our annual day celebrations, our CEO Hans-Petter Mellerud committed to doubling the fund which will now benefit 31 families with livelihood support, provision of livestock, life skills training and setting up of kiosks for alternate livelihood activities.
