For a moment I wondered if it might not happen at all due to COVID-19, but following some deep consideration, SAP announced that it would allow for these unprecedented times by extending the preview period by three weeks resulting in a slightly delayed production release date: a good compromise by SAP!
There is a change here at Zalaris too; to celebrate the company’s 20th Anniversary, we’ve revitalised our brand as well as strengthening our mission statement and values. Hopefully, you’ll agree we are embracing at least two of our values, Team Spirit and Aiming High, in bringing you our usual series of articles again.
SAP is now positioning SAP SuccessFactors as their Human Experience Management suite, putting the X in HXM and “people at the centre of what powers our business”. Watch Meg Bear, appointed in October 2019 as Head of Product for SAP SuccessFactors, talk about her highlights, starting as I have with Experience Management. In this release, we see the first uses of Qualtrics being embedded into HR processes in SAP SuccessFactors: with the introduction of a survey based on an applicant’s experience when submitting a job application and an employee’s experience of a performance review.
Recruiting now has tools to aid with mass hiring and Onboarding 2.0 now supports external HR systems and has compliance forms for UK & Australia included. These are the first touchpoints for any new employee and set the tone for their experience with an organisation, so it is important to start off on the right foot.
Talking of other SAP products being utilised in SAP HXM, I was hoping to be telling you all about embedded People Analytics (aka “Report-Story”). However, due to some technical problems with the new Identity Authentication Service (IAS), there has been a delay. As of 27 April, one part of the issue has been resolved, so if you are a customer, keep an eye on the SuccessFactors Community or SAP Note 2877303 for further updates as this is an exciting addition to the product’s capability.
All the modules have got something to shout about as you will see in our series of articles over the coming week, I hope you enjoy our updates. Each day you’ll see a blog post on our website linking to multiple articles: one post for each functional area. If you are a customer or have joined our mailing list (anyone can sign up via the link on this page), then you’ll receive a consolidated eBook of all the articles shortly after the end of our series. It makes a handy reference!
As always, feedback is welcomed via email and Twitter, and please do consider following Zalaris on LinkedIn. Thanks to all of you who have been reading, sharing and providing feedback on our content to date.
Stay safe!Â
