SAP SuccessFactors release schedule and rollout approach
SAP SuccessFactors follows a biannual release cycle. The preview environment gives organisations time to review new functionality, test configuration and assess the impact on employees, managers and administrators before production deployment.
For the 2H 2026 release, SAP scheduled the preview for 12 October 2026. Production availability is planned for 13–14 November 2026.
Organisations should use the preview period to review role-based permissions, validate integrations, test key processes and prepare support teams for changes that affect the user experience.
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core
The latest Home Page is now automatically enabled
SAP SuccessFactors has enabled the latest Home Page experience automatically in all systems. The option to disable it has been removed.
The latest experience is available across web and mobile applications and replaces the legacy Home Page experience. Existing configurations are retained, but organisations should review how their current setup appears in the latest experience before production deployment.
This is a broad change for Employee Central users. HR teams should check key navigation paths, user group visibility and any configuration that affects the Home Page experience.

SAP SuccessFactors People Analytics
The New Table Build Experience becomes the default for Story Reports
New tables in Optimized Stories now use the New Table Build Experience by default.
Existing Optimized Stories that use the Old Table Build Experience are migrated when opened in edit mode. The migration is not saved until the story is saved, giving report authors an opportunity to review the updated table structure before committing the change.
This standardises the way report authors build and maintain tables across Optimized Stories. Reporting teams should review frequently used reports, check exported outputs and confirm that authors understand the updated editing experience.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Platform
A new Details View provides fuller access to employee information
The latest People Profile now includes a Details View switch that changes the layout from summary cards to full detail pages.
The view displays fields, effective dates and pending changes in a more complete format. Administrators must grant the relevant Full Profile Details View permission to the roles that need access.
The switch changes how information is displayed, while role-based permissions continue to control what each user can access. Organisations should review the permission setup before enabling the view for HR administrators or other user groups.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Administrators can use AI to draft courses and task checklists
Assisted Course Generation allows Learning administrators to create draft course details, task checklists or both by providing a short description and selecting an item classification.
Administrators can also upload supporting PDF materials of up to 10 MB to give the generated content more context. The output can then be reviewed and saved within the Learning Management System.
The update reduces the manual effort involved in preparing learning content while keeping administrators responsible for reviewing the final material. Organisations should define appropriate review controls before using the feature at scale.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
The Task Management page brings more onboarding tasks together
The enhanced Task Management page now includes Offboarding Tasks and Pre-Onboarding Rehire Tasks.
Administrators can access these task types from one location instead of relying on separate navigation paths. This provides a clearer view of outstanding work across more parts of the employee lifecycle.
The update is particularly relevant for teams managing onboarding, rehires and offboarding at volume. Organisations should review task ownership and confirm that administrators and managers have the permissions they need.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting
Career Site Builder can connect with SmartRecruiters
SAP SuccessFactors now supports integration between Career Site Builder and SmartRecruiters.
This allows a career site to display job postings and accept applications for jobs managed in both SmartRecruiters and SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting. Organisations can maintain an existing career site during a phased transition or create a new site for SmartRecruiters.
The update gives recruiting teams more flexibility when introducing SmartRecruiters without requiring an immediate replacement of the existing career site. Technical teams should review job posting, application and career site processes before making changes.

SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals
The Legacy Performance Management Form Experience is being retired
The Legacy Performance Management Form Experience will reach End of Maintenance on 13 November 2026 and is scheduled for deletion on 19 May 2028.
SAP is replacing the legacy experience with the Latest Experience. A Universal Push is planned for 1H 2027, making early preparation important for organisations that still use the legacy forms.
Customers should begin testing the Latest Experience, reviewing configuration gaps and preparing support materials before the mandatory transition. Where possible, the change should be scheduled outside active performance or 360 review cycles.

SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub
Skills governance now supports more structured standardisation
The 2H 2026 release strengthens the process for reviewing and standardising skills.
Skills in the Attributes Library and those awaiting review can be scanned and mapped to corresponding SAP Taxonomy names. Administrators can choose how the mapping is applied, while the Skills Governance page provides visibility into pending reviews, inferred skills and confidence scores.
This gives organisations greater control over the quality and consistency of skills data. It also creates a clearer review process for AI-inferred skills before they are used in talent profiles, recommendations or other downstream processes.

SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Career Development Planning
The latest Career Worksheet is now available in mobile apps
Organisations using the latest Career Worksheet can now make it available through the SAP SuccessFactors mobile app.
The Role Details page brings together the skills required for a role, linked development goals and related growth opportunities. Employees can use the mobile experience to explore career options and understand the development activities connected to a role.
The update extends career development beyond the desktop experience and gives employees access to relevant role and development information while using the mobile app.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Management
Dynamic Shift Assignment supports rule-based scheduling
Dynamic Shift Assignment allows organisations to assign shifts automatically using configurable rules.
Assignments can adapt to employee attributes and attendance data, reducing the manual work involved in scheduling and supporting more consistent workforce planning.
The feature is relevant for organisations with complex shift patterns, changing workforce requirements or large employee populations. Teams should review the rules, data dependencies and exception handling before using automatic assignment in production.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll
Payroll activities can be rerun for selected employee groups
Payroll managers can now select the employee population to include when running payroll activity steps.
Available options include all eligible employees, manually selected employees and employees with payroll alerts. Payroll activities can therefore be repeated for a specific group without processing the entire workforce again.
This gives payroll teams more control when resolving errors or completing additional checks. It can reduce unnecessary processing and make targeted payroll corrections easier to manage.

SAP SuccessFactors Compensation & Variable Pay
Compensation templates can use multiple performance and compensation ratings
Compensation templates now support additional standard Performance Management and Compensation rating fields for salary and stock plan tabs.
Organisations can capture multiple ratings directly in compensation templates and use them in planning calculations. This supports compensation processes that consider different performance ratings, calibration outcomes or compensation-related assessments.
The update gives compensation teams more flexibility when designing salary and stock planning processes without relying on separate workarounds.
